Son of Anders Nielsen Lund, 1886-1962, and Frances Augusta Freiner Lund, 1894-1974
There were no records found that would indicate Victor Lund was married or had any children.
His brother, MG Otto Lund, Marine Gunner, USMC, was Killed In Action on Guadalcanal, January 15, 1943.

SSG Victor Lund was inducted into the US Army from Adams County, Washington,
Enlisting in Spokane, Washington on March 17, 1941.

His loss is recorded in the
Washington World War II Honor List of Dead and Missing, page 1, Adams County,
published by the War Department in June 1946.

A. His QMC Form 14, Interment In the Golden Gate National Cemetery document, identifies his assigned unit as Company E, 160th Infantry Regiment, 40th Infantry Division.

B. At the time SSG Lund was Killed In Action the 40th Infantry Division was conducting operations on the Philippine Island of Luzon during June 1944.

C. Hospital Admission Records indicate that SSG Lund died on June 12, 1945, as a result of a small arms wound to the upper body.
