TEC3 Lloyd R. Clark was born in 1922 in Washington State
Son of Grant Clark and Olive Mae Clark
Lloyd Clark is believed to have attended Lincoln High School in Tacoma and likely
graduated in 1939. His photo is found on page 91, in the Lincoln High School Yearbook.
There were no records found that would indicate Lloyd Clark was married or had children.
He was voluntarily enlisted into the US Army Air Forces from Pierce County, Washington,
Enlisting in Fort Lewis, Washington on August 30, 1940.
His loss is recorded in the
Washington World War II Honor List of Dead and Missing,
page 12, Pierce County,
published by the War Department in June 1946.

A. His ABMC Form 1, Headstone Inscription And Interment Record, identifies his assigned unit as the 20th Pursuit Squadron, 24th Pursuit Group.
B. The 24th Pursuit Group surrendered to Japanese forces on the Bataan Peninsula on 9 April 1942. The survivors endured
the Bataan Death March and were sent to
the Camp O'Donnel POW camp.
C. Hospital Admission Records indicate that TEC3 Clark died during May 1942 as a result of Dysentery while in POW status.
D. Further information on the 20th Pursuit Squadron and the 24th Pursuit Group can be found at the Wikipedia
