Son of Michael Christiansen and Ingaborg S. Gunnarsen Christiansen
Michael married Ivedell Ann Sundquist Christiansen in Pierce County on July 29, 1939.
There were no records found that would indicate Michael and Ivedell had any children.
He was inducted into the US Army from Pierce County, Washington,
Enlisting at Fort Lewis on March 23, 1944.
His loss is recorded in the
Washington World War II Honor List of Dead and Missing,
page 12, Pierce County,
published by the War Department in June 1946.

B. At the time PFC Christiansen was Killed In Action the 137th Infantry Regiment was conducting combat operations supporting
the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium during December 1944 and January 1945.
C. Hospital Admission Records indicate that PFC Christiansen was "Not in Medical Installation Prior to Death" and died as a result of unknown combat wounds.
