PVT Wesley M. Bottoms was born July 13, 1920 in Tacoma, Washington
Son of Wesley McKinley Bottoms and Vilate C. Collings Bottoms.
Wesley Bottoms attended Lincoln High School in Tacoma and graduated 1939.
His photo is found on page 89, in the Lincolnian Yearbook. His senior photo lists that he was
President of the National Order of High School Foresters,
his hobby was modeling airplanes
and he would attend an electric welding school.
Wesley married Leola Mae Rich Bottoms in Pierce County on April 19, 1941.
There were no records found that would indicate Wesley and Leolo had children.
He was inducted into the US Army from Pierce County, Washington,
Enlisting in Seattle, Washington on July 29, 1944.
His loss is recorded in the
Washington World War II Honor List of Dead and Missing,
page 12, Pierce County,
published by the War Department in June 1946.
