B. At the time PFC Baron was Killed In Action the 41st Infantry Division was conducting combat operations on the Philippine Island of Mindanao during March 1945.
C. Hospital Admission Records indicate that PFC Baron died during March 1945, as a result of wounds from an artillery shell.
