Son of Nicholas Anderson and Carrie Olson Anderson.
Clarence attended Lincoln High School in Tacoma and graduated in 1925.
During his time at Lincoln, he served as reporter and then as editor of the school newspaper.
Clarence was also elected as First Commissioner of Publicity and had planned to
take journalism at the University of Washington.
Clarence married Marie Moll Anderson in Clark County on June 23, 1932.
There were no records found that would indicate Clarence and Marie had any children.
He likely entered the US Army from Pierce County, Washington.
His loss is recorded in the
Washington World War II Honor List of Dead and Missing,
page 12, Pierce County,
published by the War Department in June 1946.

B. At the time SGT Anderson died, the Headquarters Company US Army, APO 501, was conducting operations in the South Pacific during August 1943.
C. Hospital Admission Records indicate that SGT Anderson died on August 22, 1943, Causative Agent: "Vehicle, other." While no records were found to verify specific details, similar
Hospital Admission Records would likely indicate that he was either a driver, passenger or pedestrian involved in a vehicle incident.
D. His status of "DNB" indicates that SGT Anderson died as a result of a Non-Combat Accident, in the Line of Duty.
