B. His ABMC Form 1, Headstone Inscription And Interment Record, identifies his date of death as February 28, 1945, Temporary Cemetery as 3523 and Next of Kin as
Mrs. Ida E. Sherer, 3248 34th West, Seattle, Washington.
C. At the time CAPT Sherer was Killed In Action the 42nd Infantry Division was conducting combat operations in Germany during February 1945.
