B. At the time CAPT Ott died, the 314th Troop Carrier Group was based at Castelvetrano, Sicily from August 24, Aug 1943 to February 13, 1944.
C. His status of "DNB" indicates that CAPT Ott died on November 22, 1943, as a result of a Non-Combat Accident or Illness.
