and was married to Ruth Anne Dry Bisson.

He was inducted into the US Army from Multnomah County, Oregon,
Enlisting in Fort Lewis Washington on April 26, 1944.

His loss is recorded in the
Washington World War II Honor List of Dead and Missing, page 1, Adams County,
published by the War Department in June 1946.

Private First Class Leo D. Bisson is not listed on the American Battle Monuments Commission website.

A. His Application For Headstone or Marker, OQMG Form 623, identifies his assigned unit as Company L, 414th Infantry Regiment, 104th Infantry Division and his date of death as 15 April 1945.

B. On 11 April 1945 the 104th Infantry Division was involved in the liberation of the Dora-Mittelbau (Nordhausen) concentration camp. See remember.org Liberation at Nordhausen and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum The 104th Infantry Division.

C. At the time PFC Bisson was Killed In Action the 104th was conducting operations near Halle, Germany between April 15th and 19th, 1945.
