A. FindAGrave.com grave marker photo inscription "Pvt, AL 13th Inf 8th Division WWII", identifying his unit as the 13th Infantry Regiment, 8th Infantry Division.
B. The 8th Infantry Division was conducting offensive operations in Western France during October 1944.
