A. FindAGrave.com 'Application For Headstone or Marker' form indicates his assigned unit was "Company B, 20th Armored Infantry Battalion, 10th Armored Division".
B. The 10th Armored Division records report the division was in Southwest Germany "Advancing through Kaiserslautern" in March 1945.
C. Casualty Code of "DOW - Died of Wounds, Army personnel who were wounded in action and later died of those wounds." This would indicate that a wounded Soldier had received
some level of treatment from medical personnel before death.
