Purple Heart Awarded to any member of the Armed Forces of the United States who, while serving under competent authority in any capacity with one of the U.S. Armed Forces, after April 5, 1917,
has been wounded, killed, or who has died or may hereafter die of wounds received in action against an enemy of the United States.
American Campaign Service Medal Awarded for military service within the American Theater between December 7, 1941 and March 2, 1946.
Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal Awarded for military service with the Asiatic-Pacific Theater between December 7, 1941 and March 2, 1946.
World War II Victory Medal Awarded for military service between December 7, 1941 and December 31, 1946, both dates inclusive.

US Army Good Conduct Medal Awarded for exemplary behavior, efficiency, and fidelity in active Federal military service. It is awarded on a selective basis to
each Soldier who distinguishes himself or herself from among his or her fellow Soldiers by their exemplary conduct, efficiency, and fidelity throughout a specified period of
continuous enlisted active Federal military service. Qualifying Periods of Service:
A. Each 3 years completed on or after 27 August 1940.
B. For first award only, 1 year served entirely during the period 7 December 1941 to 2 March 1946.
PFC Frazier was the son of Edgar Frazier and Eva Fondren Frazier, born March 10, 1922.
National Archive Records below indicate he entered the US Army from Winston County, Alabama,
Enlisting at Fort McClellan Alabama on December 1, 1942.
His loss is recorded in the
Alabama World War II Honor List of Dead and Missing,
page 27, Winston County,
published by the War Department in June 1946.
His name is not listed on the American Battle Monuments Commission website.
Note 1: The death location, "Island of Okinawa" is based on the best information available at this time. In the case of PFC Frazier, this location was not
verified by eyewitness statement or official After Action Report. This location was estimated based on:
A. FindAGrave.com indicates his assigned unit was the 305th Infantry Regiment, 77th Infantry Division.
B. Unit history records report that 77th Infantry Division was conducting operations on Okinawa, making 15 landings between March 26 and 29, 1945.
C. On May 1, 1945 the 77th Infantry Division relieved the 96th Infantry Division and fought its way slowly against extremely heavy Japanese resistance, driving to
Shuri in conjunction with the 1st Marine Division and captured the Shuri Castle on May 29th.
