William Chambers and Sarah Elizabeth Estes Chambers.

Alabama World War II Honor List of Dead and Missing, page 27, Winston County,
published by the War Department in June 1946.

His name is not listed on the American Battle Monuments Commission website.

Note 1: The death location, "In North Africa" is based on the best information available at this time. In the case of PFC Chambers, this location was not verified by eyewitness statement or official After Action Report. Rescarching multiple online sources, this location was estimated based on two sources:

A. The general location of his unit, Company F, 156th Infantry Regiment, on or nearest June 29, 1943.

B. An entry on the Find A Grave website that states: "Killed in Africa in World War II when a train he and other soldiers were on collided with a train of ammunition".
