COL Virgil L. Anderson was born June 6, 1899 in Tacoma Washington
Son of Albert and Josephine Klink Anderson
and Married Kathleen Elizabeth Simms Anderson in Montgomery, Alabama on December 26, 1928.

There were no records found that Virgil and Kathleen Anderson had any children.

His loss is recorded in the
Washington World War II Honor List of Dead and Missing, page 12, Pierce County,
published by the War Department in June 1946.

A. The Find A Grave website identifies his assigned unit as Field Artillery of unknown number.

B. At the time COL Anderson Died he had been transfered to a Army Hospital in Palm Springs California from his assigned unit in New Guinea during November or December 1945.

C. His status of "DNB" indicates that COL Anderson died on December 13, 1944, as a result of a Non-Combat illness, in the line of duty.
