PVT Ulysis B. Carr entered the Army at Montgomery Alabama,
Enlisting on 15 February, 1941,
and his loss is recorded in the
Alabama World War II Honor List of Dead and Missing, page 19, Marshall County,
published by the War Department in June 1946.

His name is not found on the American Battle Monuments Commission website.

  Online sources (Mansell.com, Mukden (Hoten) Timeline) indicate that PVT Carr was Killed In Action as a result of Allied B-29 bomber raids on Mukden factories when two Allied bombs fell within the Camp Hoten perimeter, killing 18 other POWs and wounding more than 30 on December 7, 1944.
