A. The Find A Grave website grave marker photo shows his assigned unit as the 169th Infantry Regiment, 43rd Infantry Division, date of birth as February 4, 1920 and date of death on July 11, 1943, age 23.

B. The location of his unit, the 43rd Infantry Division, was landing on New Georgia and conducting offensive operations July thru August 1943.
